About MRD
Founded in April of 2010, Marfa Roller Derby is possibly the smallest league in Texas. With a roster of 4 players and 1 official in training, this dedicated group of skaters from Marfa, Alpine and Ft. Davis practice at the concrete slab at Vizcaino park every Sunday. Because we want to actually play roller derby and not just practice… we frequently travel to Odessa to play with the Tall City Roller Betties and travel throughout Texas for bouts and training.
